Message from the Music Director

Hello, KLO Families, Friends and Supporters and welcome to Music!
I love the above quote, because it beautifully states both the purpose of music education and the values we strive for at KLO.  Through participating in Band and Choir, we not only develop the skills necessary to read, understand and perform music, but explore what it means to be a responsible contributor in a musical ensemble - and really, anywhere in life!
What parents need to know:  These skills transfer directly to other areas of life and learning where communication, collaboration and resilience are required.
What students need to know:  It's fun – and a great place to meet and get to know great people!

Music expresses feeling and thought, without language; it was below and before speech, and it is above and beyond all words.
